Note : We use traditional Kyoto techniques to produce many products that cannot be mass-produced by machine, such as Yuzen and Dyeing. Therefore, depending on the product, there may be slight variations in color and pattern.
The "Hanabishi" (four petals on a diamond shape) was considered a "noble" design in the Heian period (794-1185), as it was used only by people of high rank as a yushoku (professional) design. The arabesque, with its intertwined plant leaves and stems, was considered a symbol of prosperity and longevity because of its vitality and uninterrupted growth of tendrils. The "oboro dye", named for its hazy shading, is decorated with a bold "Hanabishi arabesque". The "Hanabishi Arabesque" applied to the soft "Oborozome" with its natural unevenness creates an oriental atmosphere. The soft color "akane" is available. The texture is soft and comfortable in the hand.
