Note : We use traditional Kyoto techniques to produce many products that cannot be mass-produced by machine, such as Yuzen and Dyeing. Therefore, depending on the product, there may be slight variations in color and pattern.
In Japan, there are many patterns using pine trees. The pine tree is believed to be "the tree where God dwells" and is a sacred and auspicious tree. The "KASAMATSU" is a pattern created by imitating an open Japanese umbrella as a pine tree. The rounded shape of the "KASAMATSU" is scattered on the "OBORO Dye" (named after the hazy shades of the Japanese word "oboro"). Although it is a classic pattern, the natural unevenness of the texture quietly and subtly creates a sense of presence. "Green" is also available. The weave is soft and comfortable to the hand with a rough weave.
